PTO-STPS

STPS (Students-Teachers-Parents-Staff) is a non-profit organization organized by the BGE/BGI parents, administrators, and staff. As a parent, guardian, or staff member, you are automatically a member of STPS. There are no dues or membership requirements.

The mission of the Battle Ground Elementary STPS is to enhance student enrichment through parent involvement by providing effective communication and a collaborative effort between faculty, parents, guardians, and administration. We are a hands-on organization that believes our children are our greatest investment in life! We provide volunteers and funding to support and supplement the educational experiences of all children at Battle Ground Elementary.

The key to a successful STPS is the involvement of our entire school community.

There are so many ways to become involved in STPS. For many, it may be supporting our fundraisers, being a homeroom parent, or volunteering time at an activity or event. For others, it might be chairing an activity or serving on the STPS board.

Whatever time you have to volunteer, we have an activity for you. Please consider attending an STPS meeting to get more information and see how you can get involved. The meetings are a great way to hear about upcoming events and a variety of topics from administration, teachers, and parent representatives.

The 2024-2025 STPS Meetings are tentatively scheduled for 6:00 p.m. in the Cafeteria at Battle Ground Intermediate School, and dates will be posted as soon as they are available. Additional meetings may be scheduled as needed throughout the school year. Meetings are open to parents and teachers. We welcome everyone to attend and see what we have going on in the areas of fundraising, school community events, and student and teacher appreciation events.

The money we raise from our fundraiser allows us to help fund activities such as field trips, Accelerated Reading celebrations, author/artist visits, classroom support, and other items not funded by the corporation.
